Equipment & Uniforms
Thank you for participating in Seasons Soccer Club. This page is designed to inform you of the proper equipment/uniform your child will need to participate in practices and games.
1) Soccer Ball – While the club provides a limited number of soccer balls for each team, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to get your child their own ball. A “game” quality, leather ball is recommended because it is generally softer than the synthetic practice balls issued by the clubs and easier to kick, header, etc.
2) Soccer Shoes – Be sure when you go to the sporting goods store you tell them you need outdoor SOCCER shoes and not just cleats or spikes. Unlike a baseball or football shoe, Soccer shoes DO NOT (and CAN NOT) HAVE A CLEAT ON THE FRONT TOE of the shoe. Shoes will be inspected before every game, and if the player’s shoe has a cleat on the front it will either need to be removed or the shoes switched before they can play.
3) Shin Guards – Shin guards must be worn during every practice and game and must be UNDERNEATH the socks. Putting the shin guard over the sock and then folding the sock back over the shin guard is NOT acceptable. Like the shoes, every player will be checked before each game for proper shin guards and will not be allowed to participate without them.
4) Water Bottle – Please be sure that your child has either water or a sports drink for each game or practice. We do not have a water fountain at the fields, so it is extremely important that they have some form of hydration. It is a good idea to put the player’s name on their water bottle, so there is no confusion on the sidelines as to whose drink is whose.
Obviously, each player needs to where their uniform to all games and dress in similar attire for practice. Should you have any questions about any of this information, please consult with your coach.
